I am an Austrian documentary photographer based in Barcelona.
For more than two decades, my work has taken me from refugee settlements and remote mountain communities to hospitals, fishing ports and cities shaped by conflict and migration. I have worked on editorial and documentary assignments for NGOs, international organisations and media clients across Europe, Asia and Africa, focusing on health, social issues and the ways people adapt to difficult circumstances.
After an HIV diagnosis, I stepped away from journalism for several years. The experience changed both my life and my perspective on photography. Since returning to documentary work, I have become increasingly interested in health, access to care and the personal realities behind medical and social issues.
Alongside long-term documentary projects, I regularly photograph medical conferences and scientific meetings across Europe, documenting the people, research and ideas shaping modern healthcare.
Current projects include long-term work exploring health, HIV and access to care.
